People Person Joins People Solutions

This week, Manh Vo joined Schlam as People Solutions’ People and Culture Advisor.

Mahn has worked in the human resources sector for over seven years and was recommended to Schlam by a colleague.

“A co-worker at my previous employer said that they’d heard good things about Schlam and that they knew that the company was actively stepping up its People and Culture division to support its growth,” he said.

A people person by nature, Manh sought out a career where he could work closely with other employees to support and guide their professional development.

“I’ve always enjoyed interacting with others, and working in HR allows me to connect with employees on all levels,” he said.

While new to the mining sector, Manh has had some exposure to the industry through his time at the logistics company Toll.

“The mining industry is fascinating, with everyone playing their part. I’m keen to get in and learn as much as possible,” he said.

The HR professional says that while his first day has been a bit of a whirlwind, everyone has been welcoming.

“There’s a good energy about Schlam. The relationships between employees seem to be strong despite the rapid growth of the company over the last few years,” he said.

Outside the office, Manh is into fitness and admits to being a bit of a foodie who is always looking for a new restaurant to check out.
