Schlam is pleased to announce the appointment of experienced mining executive Phil Sellers to the role of Chief Commercial Officer as we continue to develop our global operating model.
Phil will join Schlam in July and will lead our global sales teams and regionally based market managers. Â His appointment coincides with the release of an expanded range of products that support a comprehensive, end-to-end solution from design and manufacturing to delivery, operations, maintenance and refurbishments.
These new products include a broader range of buckets to support all models of machinery over 100 tonnes, the introduction of high-quality ground engaging tools and installation kits for Hercules truck beds and Barracuda buckets. They are being developed in collaboration with affiliates of our parent company, USCO ITR Group.Â
Schlam Chair and Chief Executive Officer David Haslett said these initiatives reflect the continued evolution of the business from its origins in Australia to be a global market leader.
“We’re responding to customer demand in markets that are relatively new to Schlam to ensure we’ve got the right teams, resources, and products to meet their needs,” David said.
“This results in more comprehensive load and haul solutions for customers globally.”
Phil’s extensive experience with global customers has been gained through market development roles within the mining and energy sectors in Australia, North America, Mexico, and the United Kingdom.
In particular, Phil has held executive leadership roles with Epiroc’s CR Mining over the past 17 years. CR Mining is a services company based in Denver which markets a variety of products used by surface mining equipment. Phil has led sales, technical and customer support functions and gained a strong understanding of the needs of surface mining customers.
This experience followed earlier commercial marketing and business development roles with BP Australia, TransAlta and Jemena (previously Alinta Energy).
We look forward to welcoming Phil to our team and back to Australia.
