Schlam is one of Australia’s largest privately owned mining products and services companies. Our 500% growth over the last four years and ambitious plans to expand and reach further across Australia and international borders mean golden employment opportunities.
We have mining industry jobs with incredibly flexible employment conditions and competitive rates for talented individuals.
We’re building a team of the best in the business. People who want to build and create things, who see a challenge and want to take it on, and who have a keen sense of service.
You get the best of both worlds – working full-time but with the flexibility to work at multiple sites and different rosters.
I like them for their flexibility. You can choose the roster you want, and how long you want to be home for. If you’re stuck with a mining company you just have to do what they give you. But Schlam lets you be flexible and if you’ve got something long-term down the year, your holiday or whatever, you can schedule things easily.
The problem with some companies is that when you’re stuck at one site, you might get along with some people and you might not. But with contracting you go to site to site and if you really click, you get to stay there.
Working direct for the client has its perks, but working for Schlam you don’t get trapped in the nitty gritty and have the freedom to move around different sites.
I’m literally off this week extra because I need to go up to my sister’s wedding. Schlam were pretty much like, yeah no worries, just let us know the dates and it was sorted.
Other companies, they might make you feel a bit guilty about taking time off. But here – there’s no ifs or buts about it, just Yup, no worries. I’ve never been made to feel bad about it.
I’ve had more training opportunities in 5 months at Schlam than I did in the 1.5 years I was at my previous company for.
Schlam looks after me really well – they pay for my education, and I can’t be more grateful for that.
If you think you’ve got what it takes to be the best in the business, or if you are looking for more variety and better conditions, Schlam welcomes you. Simply register your interest by filling in the form below.
